SW Hills ADU

An 800 square foot gem built into the side of a steeply wooded slope. A ribbon of white oak envelops the stairs with sculptural white glass light fixtures above. The upper level’s vaulted space is flooded with light, it’s glassy corner hovering over the lower level’s reading nook. The lower level is quiet and relaxing, a sleeping room and a generous marble-clad bathroom. Decks on the South side look towards the stepped landscape, a lush Pacific Northwest palette of colors & textures. The North side deck acts as the small home’s porch, a bronze sculptural water trough spills into a deep planter adjacent to the sidewalk.
